why is this being rated so high. this is not five star house music. everything on remixland and digigasm is getting five stars. geeze what happend to a mix of music. not just elactro house 40 mixes and mediocre funky house.
Then add your own rating and stop complaining bro ... ;)
I just went through the ratings of our posts and didn't notice a lot, if any, with 5 stars. All in all, they looked pretty varied. I, of course, have no bearing on how others vote. I do it because I like to know what others think. Since it is anonymous, I have a hard time believing that someone isn't voting how they truly feel.
As for the voting at Remixland, you'll have to take it up with them. I did notice on my last visit that almost every song had one vote cast, and they all were fives. I would hate to think that the person who posted the songs is voting on them, but it could be that someone who visits that site loves everything he/she hears there.
As for the music that is being posted here, I hope that I have not given the wrong impression about the songs that we post. I like to post new remixes of older rock & dance tunez (retro), along with dance remixes of new songs. They are more likely to be House, Electro-House, Funky-House & Tribal.
I would apologize for not posting songs that you like, but I'm not about to since it is all subjective. Nothing personal, dude, (since I don't know you). We just aren't going to be able to please everyone 100% of the time. I wish I could, though. But I happen to like about 90% of the songs that I post. The other 10% is stuff that might appeal to a majority of visitors, since they are from big name artists. For example....I don't like Janet Jackson's song "Feedback," but I posted it because, in the dance community, it is considered a big release.
I hope that that has cleared up a few things for you, Johnnyinfamous. Maybe someday we will post something that you like. I really, really hope so.

You said it man..Ths is one of the BEST sites there is for new music and remixes..So just be thankful for the tunes that people spend their time putting up here for us and get on with it.After all...music is subjective.Some you like,some you wont.

Well, I can't get upset if someone doesn't like what we post. It's only opinion, after all. I was more concerned that visitors got the wrong impression about what type of songs we post, and that something nefarious was going on with the voting system.
I really appreciate that he has our link on his site, as we do his on here...so he must have liked a few songs that we posted. At least, I hope so. ;-)
I think we all believe others should love what we love, so he probably just became frustrated that others were voting highly for songs that he didn't deem worthy.

Yeah man. I love this site. Check it daily as well as remixland. I just wish u could actually look at the rating and decifer how good the post is. It seems that any house tunez by a well known remixer or producer is given a high rating. I often download them and am disappointed. There is a ton of tunes I love though.... don't get me wrong. I guess the thing im a little annoyed about is the fact that I spin every type of music...... mainly house, mashup, hip hop, top40, rock, etc .....so it would be great to cut my work in half by using sumfin like the rating system to find good new music. Just isn' t working.

Me and Darryl talked about this and my opinion is that the score doesn't always reflect the true goodness of a song. For example, we get posts with 2.45 ratings, but 6000 downloads ... as we have posts with 5.00 ratings that only have a 1000 downloads ... go figure :)
To make it easier, we have agreed to leave more meaningful comments on our posts, so people we'll better be able to choose what they like.
awesome...yeah i love what you guys do. didnt mean to come off rude. Not that I just want everything handed to me....but it would be sweet if there was like a way to tell that a track is a bomb or just a warm-up track or an average one ya know. I realize there's personal opinion and other factors involved but......
anyways love the site. love the feedback alwways is taken into account. strive to have a blog as poular as yers...haha yeah right
