Classic PSB tune here, vocoder to the max, harmonics and everything that makes the PSB sound, there are even choral chants. One of the best thing to come out in the last month IMO.
Scarlett - Rhythm Of The Night (Extended Red Rhythm Mix)
Another remix of this great euro classic, and this one is not better or worse than the millions that have been done before.

First of all, let me tell you how much I missed that blog. The evolution here since I left has been phenomenal and I'm looking forward to get back in here at 100%, which should be soon enough. I really like the international team that we have !
Secondly, since I didn't have access to my computer during summer, I don't have anything interesting to post as of yet (most of the things I have right now have already been posted), it'll change very soon believe me ;)
And finally, since every resident Djs here have already posted mixes of their own, I thought about posting one myself, so I got to work and tried to put out something interesting.
Now about the mix itself, if you look at the playlist, you will notice that there are no "remixes" in there or anything commercial at all. The reason is quite simple, as much as I love dance music, remixes and the likes, the styles I enjoy the most working with are mostly minimal, deep and dark techno. So give this one a try if you're curious, I think you'll enjoy it even though it's a little out of the ordinary for DE. And for those of you who won't try it, I'm working on something more "dancelike" right now ;)

Aaron, Drew and Jamin had all been in bands signed to major labels, so they knew what they didn’t want when they got together and worked on songs without a recording deal, then proceeded to build a local following through the Internet and playing live.
The group recorded a five-song EP, featuring “Mama’s Room,” distributing it at their shows and on-line. Most of that release survived intact on the band’s debut album, both of which were produced by former Blind Melon members Brad Smith and Christopher Thorne.
Under the Influence of Giants is an unlikely album for a group of twenty-somethings who aren’t afraid to cite Olivia Newton-John’s “Let’s Get Physical” and Bob James’ Heads album as inspirations.

I'm a fan of the track but not of this remix.... I thought I'd share it anyway as most might like it!
I thought I'd end of a bit of a bitch on the R&B Market.
I can't understand why we have artists such a Beyonce, Rihanna, Mariah Carey etc... that are well known R&B artists that ALWAYS release House / Dance / Electro remixes of their tracks! but we have most R&B artists not even tapping into the Dance (Disco Market) which might even double there earnings.
My personal view is the R&B market are very fortunate to be able to produce their tracks in a number of formats. It's very difficult for a House track to turn R&B if you know what i mean!
My best mate of 10 years loves R&B but since I've been deejaying he really loves what difference the house tracks can give to an average r&b track & vise versa....
I personally love the meaning & feel behind most R&B tracks.... but can't stand hearing the radio edits that bore me to tears.... i just can't wobble when i move .... i dance... lol

DJ Alex’s love for music: first began in 1991 when he was just 11 years of age. After always paying a keen interest in music he started his first job as an assistant DJ in the Queen Victoria, Kusadasi, Turkey where he played for 2 years.
After getting a real taste for playing to the crowds he showed his skills on the decks in many more bars in Kusadasi, before venturing to another resort in Turkey, Altinkum. Alex’s passion for music grew and his mixing was earning him a reputation which was well deserved.
He concentrated on 5 main styles of house music, which are Funky, Latin, Tribal, Electro and Commercial. Much to the delight of the crowd.
Next on the agenda was Bodrum, one of Turkey’s popular nightlife spots. Here, Alex played in some of the most famous clubs and bars in Turkey. He stayed in this resort for almost 7 years and during that time became manager at a popular bar in Gumbet.
Returning to his roots in 2004, Alex became resident DJ in Jimmy’s bar, Kusadasi, where he stayed for around 1 year.2006 has been a very busy year for Alex, starting work in a new bar in Kusadasi called Angels, then moving on to Paddys bar, before returning to Bodrum. Here Alex was working on board Marine Club Catamaran, the worlds largest floating club. But this time he wasn’t showing his skills on the decks, but on the mic. Being resident MC here meant he got to work along side some top DJ’s including world famous, Johan Gielen. His vocal talent was living up to all expectations, and bringing in the crowds night after night.
As he love for music would never die, he spent his days in Gumbet playing as guest DJ in Alora Beach Club. Which was a great place for people who never wanted the partying to end. He also played in a few other bars and clubs in Gumbet which include Tropicana, Club X Bar, Hemera and Escape.Now Alex is concentrating on making new remixes , and will be guest DJ in many locations over the winter season.
