Born in Portugal, raised in the US since young childhood, and educated at the masters level in Europe, Paulo truly brings an international flavor to his rhythms. Based on the West Coast, he has been a musical fixture in Los Angeles for over a decade with current residencies at Ego, Reload, and Here as well as San Francisco’s Mezzanine. Paulo keeps current in his musical selections via constant travel, a level of respect for his peers and their own productions, his willingness to lend assistance to up and comers, his contribution to the league of Billboard reviewers and his constant search for the latest vinyl release.Paulo continues to receive increased recognition for his work in the studio. His uncanny ability to thoroughly yet expeditiously create an original piece or enhance a layered mix is becoming a Paulo trademark.
“With the ever-changing and increasingly competitive dance music scene, DJs that bring new things to the table – productions/remixes – will probably have a better chance in succeeding," continues Paulo. ”My goal is to continue the production route and bring new things to my events that aren’t available anywhere else.”
