Nine Inch Nails

Great news coming out of the NIN camp. His latest CD, called With Teeth, is expected to be released on May 3rd.

In the meantime, and in keeping with the dance music oriented theme of Digital Eargasm, I bring you the closest thing to a dance song that NIN has been apart of. Plus, it sounds like a song that easily could have been placed on my favorite CD, PRETTY HATE MACHINE.

It comes from the Cd called Things falling apart, which remixed songs from The Fragile. It also features the following song; A remake of Gary Numan's Metal.

Nine Inch Nails - Metal

Blue Man Group

There have been many nice remakes of the Donna Summer song I feel love. None quite have the rocking dance groove that this one does. This version features Annette Strean of Venus Hum.

Thanks to Bluebell, over at Banned on the Run, for telling me about this one.

Minimal Funk

Whenever someone asks me about the following song, the quote I use is, "Niteclubs were built to play songs like this."

See if you don't agree.

Minimal Funk - Groovy Thang

2 Sexy Dance Videos

Some songs are so catchy that they stay in your head for weeks and you just can't get rid of them. That is the definition of an Eargasm.

This is one of them. Be sure to check out the video, also.

Armand Van Helden - "My My My"
See the video here.

Here's another good dance song with a sexy video.

Uniting Nations - "Out of Touch (extended mix)"
See the video here.

Along the same lines as Eric Prydz's Call on me, they use one sample of an 80's song (Hall & Oates - Out of Touch) and grind it right into your skull.

Lords of Acid

I'll come right out and say it now. Lords of Acid is my favorite group. One of the reasons is that they can take a song that I despise, like the one below, and turn it into something delectable. This is a group that you will hear a lot of around here.

This is the hidden track off their last album FARSTUCKER.

Lords of Acid - "Lady Marmalade"

Devilfish

Devilfish's sound is best described as funky and energetic electronic music designed for the dance floor, and represents sophisticated studio production techniques and an uncanny ear for quality drum loops and effects. They are constantly pushing the barriers of traditional electronic dance music through their innovative recordings, their energetic four-deck DJ sets, and their explosive live performances.

The uncanny techniques of Sina M. Solouk and Jacob Heidrich are well reflected when playing the combo live and DJ sets on 4 dex, efx and drummachines that has made Devilfish one of the number one techno act in the world right now.

Devilfish - "Voodoo Authentica"

Sprung Monkey

A nice guy by the name of Gilligan, over at Banned on the Run, was nice enough to send me a CD-R of songs that he thought I would enjoy. I ended up only liking one of them. But the one that I did like was well worth the postage that it cost him to send it. A bouncy little number by a group called Sprung Monkey. If you like your party music mixed with a little "pop/rock/hands in the air/call it out" attitude, then you should enjoy this one.

Sprung Monkey - "Get 'em outta here"

Kelis Mash-up

One thing that you will be getting a lot of on this music blog is remixes and mash-ups. I can't get enough of them. This mash-up is one of my favorites and it was mixed by Empire State Human. It combines Milkshake by Kelis with Twoface by Whitey. Gives it a nice rockin' groove.

Empire State Human - "Two Faced Milkshake"

The Prodigy

Awhile back, The Prodigy stated on their website that they would post a very early demo called Spacehopper. They finally did, and here it is in it's original 1990 raw form. This song was only played live a few times back in 1991.

"Spacehopper"

While I'm at it, I might as throw a couple more of theirs at you. I love these songs and I hope you enjoy them, too. They are off their latest CD, Always Outnumbered Never Outgunned.

"Get up Get off"

"Hotride"
Vocals on this one was done by Actress/rocker Juliette Lewis.

Peplab

Dutch quartet, whose members have been part of Doop, Hocus Pocus, Sponk (Ridderhof + Garnefski), and Capricorn (Weekhout), now join up to make electro-disco-rock. Seperately, they have been producing for over a decade, and their joint debut album was released in 2004.

Here are their 2 best songs off the CD:

Peplab - "Wondergirl"

Peplab - "Beautiful People"
